Toad in the Hole

I started making toad in the hole years ago with sausage that I buy at Costco. I recently found a recipe where one uses breakfast links. I tried the maple flavored ones Oh My was that ever good. So tasty, easy and yummy that it calls for a repeat.

Here's what you will need.

12 breakfast links ( Try the flavored ones)
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk

Preheat Oven to 400 degrees F

Fry links until cooked through, but not brown and crispy. Drain of fat if you have any. I have been using coconut oil lately because its suppose to be really good for me. So instead of using the reserved oil from the  links I used Coconut oil. Spread 2 teaspoons of grease on the bottom of a pie plate.

Place the links in the greased pie plate whole do not cut up.

In a blender combine milk, eggs, flour, and salt. Blend on high for a few a minute. Pour this mixture over the sausages .

Bake for 30 minutes until the casserole is brown and puffy it will be cracked on top.

Serve immediate with maple syrup. It will fall so not to worry.

I like to sit down at the table with the family and place this dish on the table and we all watch it fall and then we dig in.
Lovely- enjoy
